Every July, the teams of Chitral and Gilgit meet on the world's highest polo ground at Shandur Pass for three days of free-style polo — no referee, no rules, and crowds camped across the high plateau.
We combine grandstand access and a comfortable festival camp with a scenic overland route through Swat, Chitral and Gilgit, returning along the Karakoram Highway.
